New, angled, footplate allows easy and automatic foot placement. The angle helps to flex the ankle and to get weight onto the heels. The stirrups have a wide footplate, which gives more support and comfort. Proper stirrup placement, on the ball of the foot, lowers the chance of the foot becoming trapped should one fall.
